Close to home: reflections from Summa’s Annual Investor Meeting 2026

“This is where everything started,” said Summa Founder and Managing Partner Reynir Indahl, looking out over Tromsø harbour and Tromsøysundet.

To mark its 10th anniversary, Summa gathered investors, portfolio leaders, advisors, and Summates for its annual Summit and AIM (Annual Investor Meeting).

“When I created Summa, I wanted to build it around the values I learned here. I grew up in a small community where everyone cared for and looked out for each other, and where we lived by the ocean and off the ocean,” said Indahl, a Tromsø native, reflecting on the original ambition behind the firm: that some of the world’s biggest challenges also represent its biggest investment opportunities.

Across two days, discussions explored how fractured geopolitics, artificial intelligence, energy transition, water stress and planetary boundaries are reshaping markets and societies, and what these shifts mean for Summa and its portfolio companies. For Summa, these forces are not just risks managing, but the very challenges its investment strategy is built to solve. Each one deepens the need for the solutions its companies provide across Circularity, Sustainable Food, Energy Transition and Tech-Enabled Resilience, turning global challenges into strong investment opportunities.
