Right to Play Sweden is a non-profit association that works with young individuals who have recently moved to Sweden. In collaboration with the municipality, associations, businesses, and the young people themselves, they aim to provide activities to increase societal opportunities. Through activities strongly rooted in the program’s goals - increased employability, improved language, expanded network and strengthened self-esteem – they work so that each young person is provided with the toolkit to become an active participant in the Swedish society.
Together with Right to Play, Summa Equity developed the mentorship program “Fill in a CV!”. Two programs of 3 months each was completed during the autumn of 2019 and the spring of 2020. 14 young people participated in the program and worked with an equal number of mentors to develop their skillset and confidence in job application processes. They updated their CVs, wrote personal letters, practiced job interviews and applied to jobs during their time together. Of the 14 young participating, 12 got jobs through the mentoring program!
